Bar Supervisor
Location: The Skipton Hotel, BD23 2TA
Salary: £12.75 ph
Hours: 32, including evenings and weekends
The Skipton Hotel is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Supervisor to lead our bar team and help deliver an outstanding guest experience. Situated in the heart of Skipton, our hotel welcomes leisure guests, corporate visitors, and event attendees, and our bar plays a key role in creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere.
About the Role
As Bar Supervisor, you will support the Bar Manager in the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and excellent customer care. You will lead by example, motivate the team, and ensure every guest receives a professional and friendly experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising the bar team during service
* Ensuring high standards of drink preparation and presentation
* Delivering exceptional customer service
* Assisting with staff training and development
* Managing stock control, ordering, and wastage
* Handling cashing-up procedures and daily reconciliations
* Maintaining health & safety and licensing compliance
What We're Looking For
* Previous bar experience in a supervisory or senior role
* Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits
* Confident leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
* Personal Licence (desirable but not essential)
