Join Cornwall’s New Era of Growth — Lead Our Regeneration Strategy
Cornwall is embarking on one of its most ambitious periods of regeneration and economic transformation. We’re looking for talented professionals who want to help shape the future of Cornwall – with it’s unique identity, strong community spirit and bold plans for growth. Across the county, we are delivering new communities, revitalising town centres, unlocking major infrastructure and accelerating the projects and investments that will define Cornwall for decades to come.
As we establish our new Economy, Regeneration and Assets Service, we are building a modern, confident and forward looking team with a clear mission: to deliver the places, spaces and opportunities that Cornwall’s future depends on. Our programmes are high profile, fast moving and high impact — offering a rare opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the next chapter of Cornwall’s story.
The Role
You’ll step into a high impact senior leadership role where your decisions will shape regeneration that lasts for generations. You will influence how Cornwall grows, develops and delivers opportunity across multiple major programmes, working within a driven, ambitious and collaborative service. This is a career defining chance to lead strategic placemaking at scale and make a lasting impact.
As Principal Lead, you will be the Council’s lead professional for regeneration and development — the person who brings together our vision, programmes and delivery into a coherent, high performing portfolio. You will join at a time when Cornwall’s regeneration agenda is accelerating, politically supported and backed by major investment.
In This Pivotal Role, You Will
* Shape the strategic direction of Cornwall’s full regeneration portfolio.
* Set the standards, expectations and frameworks that guide our largest programmes.
* Provide expert professional leadership across housing, town centre renewal, infrastructure and placemaking.

* Lead and develop Senior Client Development Leads, supporting a high performing team.
* Work closely with Members, senior officers, partners, landowners, developers and funders.
* Champion inclusive, sustainable and future focused regeneration.
This is a strategic leadership role with reach across every major regeneration programme in Cornwall — offering a rare opportunity to shape transformation at scale.
