This position is fixed term in the first instance for the next session, from August to June. This post would suit a probationer or a fully qualified teacher.
Mathematics is taught to all pupils in S1 to S4 with classes organised into ability sets throughout. Pupils can also undertake Applications of Mathematics, iGCSE Mathematics, and Advanced Highers in Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mathematics of Mechanics. The department has outstanding results at all levels of Mathematics. The pupils have had outstanding performances within the RGC super-curriculum and in nationally recognised competitions such as the UKMT, Olympiads and STEM in the Pipeline.
The College and Department are committed to providing professional learning opportunities for all staff, and a programme of support is also available to applicants wishing to undertake their probation year with us. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of Mathematics at the College through an ability to undertake successfully the following tasks:

4. To assist with curricular developments;
5. To show commitment and enthusiasm in working as part of a team;

The Salary will be based on the national SNCT scale, together with the Robert Gordon’s Allowance above SNCT scale.
