Offer description

Managing Director - Help Us Redefine How the UK Delivers Major Projects

Location: England based, within 2 hours travel of London

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Package: >£100k + performance bonus + long-term incentive (e.g. EMI options or similar)

At Projecting Success, we're on a mission to transform how major projects are delivered - across government, infrastructure, defence, and industry.

We're not your typical consultancy. We're a next-generation professional services company built around a powerful ecosystem that combines training, strategic advisory, technical delivery, and open innovation.

Our ambition? To redefine project delivery through data, AI, and a movement of skilled professionals who are ready to think differently - and deliver differently.

At the heart of our approach is a thriving ecosystem:

* We build industry-wide capability through government-funded apprenticeships and training that inspires, upskills, and unlocks new possibilities. We partner with forward-thinking organisations to codify what works, embed high-end capabilities, and shape smarter ways of delivering complex projects.
* We support clients with real-world expertise, from variance analytics and risk intelligence to AI strategy and implementation.
* We connect the dots through a growing open-source community, a coalition of change-makers, and a body of thought leadership that challenges the status quo.
* This flywheel is gaining momentum - and now we're looking for a Managing Director to help us scale this model - building the partnerships, systems, and commercial infrastructure to make it fly.

What you'll be doing

* As Managing Director, you'll lead the operational and commercial execution of the business. You'll be responsible for:
* Commercial growth - developing our tiered services, shaping our value proposition, and converting interest into long-term strategic partnerships.
* Product management - must have experience of product development in data or software
* Client and partner relationships - building high-trust engagement with clients, suppliers, and ecosystem partners who share our mission
* Ecosystem development - strengthening our coalition, community, and networks to amplify national impact and foster cross-organisational learning
* Operational leadership - ensuring the consistent, high-quality delivery of our training, advisory, and technical support services
* Impact and insight - capturing and communicating ROI from project and apprenticeship initiatives, and using insight to shape the future of data-driven project delivery
* Organisational maturity - embedding systems, leadership capacity, and performance visibility to support future strategic investment and succession
* Team leadership - developing a high-performing, values-led team with clear accountability and delivery discipline
* Strategic collaboration - working closely with the CEO to convert vision into traction and help shape the next chapter of the business
* Next phase - Helping to prepare for the next phase of the business growth, including potential external investment.

Who we're looking for

* You're a commercially focused, people-first leader. You understand how to scale a product and professional services business, build trusted client relationships, and lead teams through complexity with calm and clarity.
* You've likely led a high-growth product development, consultancy, or transformation-focused business - and now want to do something that matters. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, energised by delivery, and motivated by the opportunity to help shape a future-fit organisation. Ideally experienced in product management.

What we offer

* A senior leadership role in a nationally recognised mission-driven business
* A unique opportunity to help reshape the UK's project delivery ecosystem
* A capable and committed team, clear strategy, and credible client base
* Long-term incentive alignment (e.g. EMI or similar structure)
* A platform with momentum, backed by real results and meaningful impact
* Flexibility, autonomy, and the space to lead with purpose
* If you're ready to build something that lasts - and lead the next chapter of an ambitious, values-driven business - we'd love to hear from you.
