This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about microbiology and food safety to contribute to a respected name in the industry. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will perform microbiological analysis of food and materials in a dynamic lab environment. You'll apply aseptic techniques, uphold ISO 17025 and RSA Scheme standards, and support accurate and efficient laboratory practices. Conduct microbiological testing of food and materials, including sample preparation, plating, and interpretation, while adhering to aseptic techniques and quality standards. Maintain laboratory hygiene by performing daily cleaning routines, ensuring personal cleanliness, and properly disposing of waste. Monitor and record equipment performance, performing scheduled checks and reporting any malfunctions or deviations. Log and analyse test results using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), flagging out-of-specification results to management. Support training and teamwork by supervising new staff in procedures you’re proficient in, and promoting a collaborative, customer-focused work culture.
