About The Role
Trident Healthcare Solutions is seeking experienced Medical Lab Assistants (MLAs) to join our agency workforce supporting NHS laboratories. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are passionate about laboratory operations and want flexibility in their work schedule.
As a Medical Lab Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of laboratory services. We are happy to consider candidates with experience in Microbiology, Haematology, Biochemistry, or Histopathology, as well as those who have worked in specimen reception.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine laboratory tasks under supervision, ensuring compliance with NHS standards.
* Handle and process patient samples accurately and efficiently.
* Support senior laboratory staff in maintaining workflow and quality control.
* Maintain accurate records and adhere to data protection and confidentiality guidelines.
* Assist in specimen reception and preparation for analysis.
Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year UK experience as a Medical Lab Assistant (MLA) – essential.
* Background in one or more of the following: Microbiology, Haematology, Biochemistry, Histopathology, or specimen reception.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Eligibility to work in the UK with valid documentation.
