A well-established and highly regarded law firm near Brighton is seeking a talented Private Client Solicitor (2–5 years PQE) to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with solid experience in private client matters who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, reputable practice known for its high-quality work and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including Wills, Trusts, LPAs, Probate, Estate Administration, Tax and Succession Planning
2. Drafting Wills, Trust documents, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and other legal documentation
3. Advising clients on inheritance tax, estate planning, and asset protection
4. Handling the full probate process, including obtaining grants of representation and administering estates
5. Preparing and registering LPAs with the Office of the Public Guardian
6. Providing clear, empathetic, and professional legal advice to individuals and families
7. Managing client relationships and maintaining a high standard of client care
8. Liaising with third parties such as financial advisers, accountants, and HMRC
9. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
10. Contributing to business development activities and the continued growth of the department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
11. 2–5 years’ PQE working in a UK private client department
12. Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts, and Tax Planning
13. Excellent client care and communication skills
14. Ability to manage a caseload independently with appropriate supervision
15. A proactive and professional approach
