Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Safety Leader role located in Bath. The Safety Leader will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance across all operations, developing and implementing safety policies and programs, conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and audits. The role also involves delivering training sessions, leading investigations into incidents, and fostering a proactive safety culture among team members. The Safety Leader will collaborate with various teams to ensure health and safety measures are integrated into all project phases.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in health and safety management, including the ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
* Strong understanding of current safety regulations, standards, and best practices within engineering, construction, or related industries.
* Proficiency in delivering training sessions and fostering a culture of safety among staff and stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills for effective collaboration and incident resolution.
* NEBOSH qualification or equivalent required; additional certifications in safety management or specialized areas (e.g., CompEX, DSEAR) are a plus.
* Familiarity with MEICA engineering projects and experience working in sectors such as water treatment, construction, or industrial engineering is preferred.
* Ability to work independently and manage safety measures in a busy on-site environment.
* A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
