Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable, enthusiastic, and creative Club Assistant to support our after school art clubs at local primary schools. In this role, you'll work closely with the Club Leader to deliver fun, engaging art sessions to children, helping them explore a different creative theme each week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for art and working with children. With training and experience, there is the potential to progress into a Club Leader role, earning £25–£32 per hour (rate dependent on age and experience). There are also additional opportunities to support our holiday camps during school breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome children to the club, take the register, and help set up for the session
* Assist the Club Leader in introducing the weekly art theme (materials and examples provided)
* Provide hands-on support to children as they work on their art projects
* Encourage creativity, confidence, and enjoyment in each session
* Ensure children are safely dismissed and that the classroom is left tidy
Requirements:
* A creative/artistic background (professional or hobbyist)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
* Previous experience supporting clubs or working with children is a plus, but not essential
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 5 per week
