Job Responsibilities
1. To work as part of the Special School Nursing Team, taking overall responsibility for the assessment, provision, management, and evaluation of evidence-based nursing care for children in the Special Schools.
2. To work as part of the team to provide day-to-day management of care worker staff, equipment, and clinical resources in the schools, ensuring adherence to professional standards and quality of care.
3. To be responsible for training support staff and care workers according to competency-based training packages.
4. To provide clinical input to school management boards on school-wide issues.
5. To manage the nursing team daily in the school, organizing work systems in line with job descriptions.
6. To promote effective communication and liaison among the nursing team, teachers, parents, and other agencies, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to care.
7. To ensure the efficient and effective use of resources.
8. To prepare service reports, including information, action plans, and evaluations of outcomes aligned with strategic priorities for children and families with special needs, in consultation with the line manager.
9. To serve as the primary contact for staff, students, service users, and stakeholders, responding promptly to operational health delivery issues.
10. To familiarize oneself with CLCH and school policies and procedures, working within the established standards.
11. To analyze school health data and information to develop future care programs through school profiling and collaboration.
