We are recruiting for a leading facilities management company committed to delivering high-quality services to their clients across various sectors. Their team in Bellshill is currently looking for an experienced Projects Manager to join them.
The purpose of the role is to:
* Be responsible for delivering a variety of project works on customer sites across Scotland.
* Have full accountability for managing and delivering multiple projects ranging in value up to £2,000,000.
General Activities:
* Deliver a variety of project work opportunities, mainly working on the Wheatley group contract.
* Consult with key clients and stakeholders on project requirements and explain the feasibility of schemes to become a trusted advisor.
* Work with clients to define their brief and develop and agree on their Employers' Requirements.
* Collaborate with consultants, specialists, designers, and subcontractors to define and document clear scopes of work.
* Develop and understand the full scope of works aligned with project outcomes and business case, within budget, risk profile, and business objectives.
* Coordinate with commercial colleagues to ensure compliant tender processes and governance.
* Work within current CDM regulations, acting as client representative, managing PC & PD appointments, and ensuring duties are discharged.
* Identify, mitigate, and manage statutory and commercial risks.
* Ensure SHEQ practices are embedded and safety visits are conducted.
* Manage project programmes, ensuring timelines are met and risks are managed.
* Oversee operational aspects of projects from start to finish, ensuring resources and support are effectively managed.
* Collaborate with stakeholders for effective project implementation.
* Show flexibility and innovation in project solutions to optimize quality and delivery.
* Ensure customer acceptance and mutually agree on payment schedules.
Building Relationships:
* Build effective relationships with clients, customers, and site teams.
* Manage supply partners in compliance with procurement policies.
* Collaborate with internal support functions to ensure core duties are fulfilled.
Commercial Awareness:
* Understand project-level commercial aspects, including costs and revenue.
* Meet financial objectives and ensure sub-contractor agreements are reflective of commitments.
* Manage projects to satisfy contractual and commercial policies.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years proven project management experience in M&E, FM, construction, or critical environments.
* End-to-end project management responsibility from development to completion.
* Understanding of industry methodologies like Prince2, MAPM, RIBA, etc.
Qualifications:
* CDM awareness.
* Recognized technical qualification or significant experience (>5 years) in management, construction, M&E, or similar.
* Business literacy in written and verbal communication, numeracy.
* NEBOSH qualification.
* IOSH Managing Safely and/or SMSTS.
* Recognized project management qualification.
