As an Employability Mentor, you will take the lead in planning, delivering, and evaluating our employability and progression projects for young people. You will provide tailored guidance, practical support, and motivational coaching to help participants develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to progress into further education, training, or employment.
You will work directly with young people up to the age of 25 on a one-to-one basis or in small groups of up to 8–10 participants, ensuring each individual receives the personalised support they need. Working closely to identify their strengths, aspirations, and areas for development, creating personalised action plans and linking them to relevant opportunities. This role also involves building strong relationships with employers, training providers, and partner organisations to open up pathways for participants, as well as monitoring progress and celebrating achievements along the way.
At its heart, this is a role for someone who is passionate about unlocking potential, breaking down barriers, and empowering the next generation to succeed in their chosen career paths.
* Location: Eastleigh / Southampton / New Forest
* Salary: £24,765 to £28,860 pa (pro rata if worked less than 37.50 hours per week)
* Hours: 37.50 hours per week. Part time hours will be considered. Permanent or fixed contract till end of March 2026 considered
