Overview
Opening in September 2026, Bowersgate School is a purpose‑built, brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art school that will cater for up to 72 pupils aged 6‑16 with a wide range of needs including autism, social, emotional and mental health needs. The school will be at the heart of its development in Wythenshawe and the wider communities, ensuring every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual progress and care at the core.
As part of a multi‑disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments, and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people.
Responsibilities
* Support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments.
* Conduct clinical assessment and formulation of pupils and young people with complex needs.
* Offer individualised interventions and engage pupils in therapeutic activities.
* Provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams.
* Supervise and develop clinical practice in collaboration with a 220+ strong multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
* Qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC.
* Specialist skills and experience in assessing, formulating and supporting the delivery of therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs.
* Experience in supporting the team around a child or young person to provide clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences.
* Confident, engaging and effective as a trainer and leader.
* Highly organised with the initiative to improve outcomes for young people.
