Job Title: Building Services Manager (HVAC)Location: Peterborough
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident and driven Building Services Manager (HVAC) to join a growing team within the construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed off the tools and has spent the last few years working in an office‑based environment, developing their management, coordination and project delivery skills.

What We’re Looking For
11. Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Heating and Ventilating
12. Relevant qualifications in F‑Gas, Refrigeration, Mechanical and Ductwork Systems
13. Strong understanding of British Standards (BS EN) and CIBSE Guides
14. Experience in HVAC installations, Fire Damper installations and project management
15. Exceptional leadership, organisational andmunication skills
16. Confident using a range of IT systems and software
17. Up‑to‑date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation andpliance
18. Self‑motivated, proactive and positive in approach
19. Strong team player with the ability to inspire and support others
20. Full UK driving licence (minimum 6 months post‑test)
21. Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
22. Essential: Experience working off the tools and at least 2 years in an office‑based environment
Please note: This role requires an Enhanced DBS check (including the Children’s and Adults’ Barred List) and may include additional vetting depending on client requirements.
Job DescriptionReporting to a Senior Manager, the Building Services Manager (HVAC) will oversee the day‑to‑day management of a diverse range of HVAC projects acrossmercial, retail, domestic and industrial sectors.You will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably, while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
23. Lead and manage multiple HVAC projects from start to finish
24. Support and oversee Trainee and Assistant Managers and Supervisors.
25. Interpret and implement contract designs and construction drawings
26. Liaise with clients, architects, surveyors and internal project teams
27. Manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors
28. Monitor and enforce Health & Safety and CDM Regulations
29. Prepare project reports, programmes and progress updates
30. Manage valuations, final accounts and assist with tender preparation
31. Track and report on job profitability
32. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials
33. Approve purchase invoices and timesheets
34. Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues
35. Promote continuous improvement and excellent customer care
36. Usepany systems and tools (including bespoke software, Word, Excel, Project)
37. Support the development and progression of team members

38. Full‑time role, 42 hours per week
39. Daily travel and occasional working away may be required.
40. Working hours:07:45 – 17:15 Monday to Thursday07:45 – 16:45 Friday
