Job Title: Finance Analyst
Location: East Kent, Hybrid (with office presence as required)
Salary: £25k - £30k
The Company
An established and impactful not-for-profit organisation is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its collaborative and values-led Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organisation that provides vital services to people. This organisation offer Hybrid working options working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, the Senior Finance Analyst plays a key role in supporting financial forecasting, modelling, and strategic planning across the organisation. You’ll work across departments to provide insightful analysis and meaningful reporting to inform critical decisions. This role would suit someone technical with a degree in a mathematical, statistics, IT focus and experience in Data Analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with quarterly forecasting, scenario planning and budget modelling
* Provide robust variance analysis and expenditure reporting
* Support the development of project budgets and funding reports
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders on grant/fund reconciliations
* Build financial models to support bidding and pricing strategies
* Ensure accurate coding and reporting across funding streams
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Science or similar
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Proven ability to interpret complex data into meaningful insights
* Experience using data software and/or financial reporting tools
Desirable:
* Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
* Experience with Power BI, Business Central or coding
* Knowledge of full cost recovery budgeting and charity finance principles
