You would be employed by a well-established and respected, family run business based in Andover, Hampshire; providing property services, for private, contracted, facilities, as well as planned works and refurbishment projects covering Hampshire and Wiltshire with a range of clients ranging from Facilities, social housing, & MOD contractors, working in domestic and commercial premises, maintenance and installation of all aspects of mechanical engineering. * Bathroom installations, alterations and repairs * Central heating installations, alterations and repairs * Complete re-pipes to domestic/commercial houses * Gas or oil installations, alterations and repairs * Plumbing works * UFH * Unvented and vented hot water, etc. * Above ground drainage * Maintenance and all plumbing systems Summary As a Plumbing and Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems in residential and commercial settings. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will utilize core skills in hand tools, plumbing, and power tools, while also applying your premium welding expertise. Your mechanical knowledge and basic math skills will be essential for troubleshooting and ensuring efficient system performance. Additionally, your ability to perform carpentry, heavy lifting, a vehicle driving will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Are tools provided including PPE :- PPE Provided, most people have tools but we will provide special ones if required. What are the hours & do they need to work weekends :- No weekends at present. 8-5pm are our contracted hours Mon – Friday. (But we are flexible) Do they get paid for travelling time (door to door) or is it onsite only :- They don't get paid travelling time to work as a van & fuel card is provided. As long as they complete their 8 - 5 shift, if they have to travel home which takes 30 minuets at the end of the day, leaving at 4:30 is fine. Is there paid overtime & if yes, at what rate :- There is not usually overtime, but if we require it we will put it out to staff and pay them there usual hourly rate unless agreed by a manager. What is the holiday entitlement :- 23 days – plus 8 Bank holidays so a total of 31, but we do ask they keep x3 days free for our Xmas closedown period.
