We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Transport Planner to join our busy East Midlands depot team at Summit Platforms. In this critical role, you will be the driving force behind our logistics operations, ensuring our fleet of HGVs efficiently delivers and collects powered access equipment and telehandlers for our customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities
* Dynamic Routing: Plan and optimize daily routes for a fleet of HGVs delivering and collecting a wide range of powered access platforms (Genie, JLG, Skyjack, Niftylift) and JCB telehandlers.
* Transport Compliance: Manage all aspects of fleet compliance, including driver tachographs, Working Time Directive (WTD), vehicle defect reporting, MOTs, and regular maintenance scheduling in line with our O-Licence requirements.
* Fleet Utilization: Maximize vehicle loads and turnaround times to ensure cost-effective operations while meeting strict customer delivery and collection windows.
* Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for our HGV drivers, depot staff, and customers, providing clear updates on delivery times and resolving any logistical issues on the fly.
* Administration: Maintain accurate transport records, delivery paperwork, and compliance documentation.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience: Proven background as a Transport Planner or Router, specifically managing HGV fleets.
* Industry Knowledge: Previous experience routing heavy plant machinery, powered access equipment, or abnormal loads is highly desirable.
* Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of UK transport legislation, driver hours, and Operator Licence regulations.
* Skills: Strong geographical knowledge of the East Midlands, surrounding counties, and the UK road network, alongside proficiency in transport management systems.
* Attributes: A calm, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules, breakdowns, or urgent hire requests.
