Menzies Distribution is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to oversee two busy depots in Knowsley and Oldham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and efficiency of these sites, including operations, staff development, and KPI achievement. The role aims to deliver sustainable growth, cost control, and high service levels.


The Details:

1. Monday–Friday,
2. Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 (based on a 50-hour week, accommodating business needs)
3. Monthly Pay
4. Lead the development of a culture aligned with the company's values and vision.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive business strategy.
6. Enhance operational efficiencies and support business growth using PDCA methodology.
7. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including tachograph, driver hours, and maintenance records, to protect the Operator's License.
8. Set goals and targets for team members, conduct PDRs, and manage performance.
9. Promote health and safety awareness and practices across the depots.
10. Identify team capability needs and create career development opportunities.
11. Exceed customer expectations by meeting KPIs and maintaining service quality.
12. Build effective relationships with internal and external customers.
13. Assist in maintaining operational performance standards.
14. Manage HR policies, conduct reviews, and facilitate staff training and development.
15. Monitor resource utilization, including drivers and vehicles.
16. Analyze operational and financial data to identify efficiencies and improvements.
17. Ensure site safety and maintenance compliance.
18. Possess the legal right to work in the UK.
19. Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
20. Experience managing budgets, negotiating, and reasoning.
21. Hold a CPC (International) and manage health & safety effectively.
22. Motivate teams with a professional approach.
23. Have strong business acumen, including financial reporting.
