The Company is part of a well established group with over 60 years of manufacturing experience, and deal with the major multiples in the UK. Responsibilities
* Cover work on the powder plant, butter plant and the skim plant across the site.
* Contribute to planned and preventative maintenance schedules and project-based work within a high-speed automated environment.
* Work on various site-wide electrical and mechanical installations as required.
* Fault find on pneumatic systems and perform mechanical fabrication, including TIG welding.
* Change seal kits on a variety of high and low pressure centrifugal pumps.
* Apply mechanical systems knowledge (thermal processes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves).
* Support fast-moving, flexible packing production lines and effluent systems.
* Provide site services including steam where required.
* Participate in technical development and training to broaden long-term career prospects within the group.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
* Experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules and project-based work in a high-speed automated environment.
* Experience in electrical control automation systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and fault finding on PLCs, variable speed drives, and control circuits.
* Competence in electrical and mechanical installations and metal fabrication; capability in TIG welding.
* Mechanical competence with pumps, seals, and related components.
* Good knowledge of mechanical systems (thermal processes, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves) and site services (including steam).
