About the role We are looking for a proactive and experienced Compliance & Group Governance Manager to lead our compliance framework and group governance practices. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring IAM RoadSmart’s operations, internal groups, and partnerships meet regulatory, legal, and ethical standards, including GDPR, ISO 9001, and Charity Commission guidance. You will be the go-to expert on compliance and governance, reporting to the Finance Director, and collaborating across all departments and IAM Groups to implement best practices, lead audits, maintain policies and procedures, and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Compliance & Regulation Lead and manage compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 9001). Conduct internal audits and manage actions arising from non-compliance. Act as liaison with accreditation and regulatory bodies. Manage Subject Access Requests and DPIAs. Maintain compliance document library and training programs. Group Governance Ensure IAM Groups meet governance and sustainability standards. Maintain accurate group status registers. Provide guidance on group responsibilities, legal obligations, and constitutional alignment. Conduct group audits and financial monitoring. Contracts & Procurement Oversee contract management processes and procurement strategies. Maintain and modernise the organisation’s contracts database. Policy Oversight Manage organisational policies and SOPs. Ensure policies are regularly reviewed and approved where required. About You Proven experience in a compliance, governance, or regulatory role. In-depth knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection laws. Strong audit and risk management experience. Excellent communicator, capable of engaging with senior leaders and volunteer groups alike. Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
