Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Sustainability professional to deliver on a major public sector contract.
The client is a major government customer, managing an extensive national estate of offices and corporate facilities. The employer aims to provide services across Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability to ensure the client's estate is well-maintained.
You will work within a team matrix structure, managing key stakeholder relationships, including customer contacts, contractors, and the wider account team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Sustainability professional to develop within one of the largest Sustainability FM UK contracts.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the delivery of sustainability services per the contract specification
* Developing and driving the Sustainability Management Plan, monitoring progress, promoting achievements, and ensuring reporting requirements are met
* Growing and engaging with employee champions network
* Setting annual environmental objectives and targets
* Establishing governance framework & engaging senior stakeholders to keep sustainability plans relevant and updated
* Embedding digital approaches to CSR and sustainability reporting
* Validating carbon data for reporting and seeking external certification
* Collaborating with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System, including core documents
* Designing reporting and assurance processes around sustainability
* Supporting other departments with their environmental objectives and developing site environmental risk assessments
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in sustainability delivery and knowledge of ISO standards
* Experience working within complex matrix team structures preferred
