About the role

Are you looking to develop your career in healthcare? If so, we have exciting opportunities for Band 3 Clinical Support Workers across a range of different departments. Within the chosen area you will be given the chance to advance your clinical skills specific to the needs of the patients. To help you get off to a flying start, we have a comprehensive induction and support programme. This will be delivered in collaboration with department and corporate education teams to ensure you receive the highest standard of training and support to succeed throughout your career with us.

* Gynaecology Outpatients - 20.5 hours per week - our dedicated Gynaecology outpatients team work across all 3 sites and is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and dynamic environment where you will assist in delivering high-quality care to women attending for a variety of outpatient procedures and consultations which includes clinics such as General Gynaecology, Colposcopy, Urogynaecology and Hysteroscopy.
* Urology Investigations Unit - 37.5 hours per week - Our dynamic Urology Investigation Unit delivers high-quality, patient-focused care in a specialised diagnostic setting. This Monday to Friday service offers a structured work-life balance while providing the opportunity to work closely with experienced clinicians in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
* Gate 29, Burns Unit - 34.5 hours per week - Join our dedicated Regional Adult and Paediatric Burns Service and play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients with complex burn injuries. This is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment where your skills in wound care, infection prevention, nutritional support, and emotional reassurance will make a real difference. You will be expected to demonstrate competence in clinical observations, aseptic technique, pressure area care, and safeguarding, while supporting patients and families through challenging recovery journeys. We are looking for individuals with a solid foundation in anatomy and physiology, experience in delegated clinical duties, and a commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and professional standards. * Surgical Hub - fixed term for 12 months - 1 x 37.5 hours per week and 1 x 33.5 hours per week - The new Surgical Hub at Dewsbury District Hospital will provide two theatres, four major treatment rooms and ten outpatient clinic rooms. CSWs will support patients undergoing low complexity day procedures including plastics, gynaecology, pain management, vascular and general surgery.

You will take part in a competitive interview process but will be encouraged to discuss your ambitions and ask any questions you may have; helping you to reach your full potential and feel confident to deliver high standards of care.

Main duties

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will be a fundamental part of the nursing team, providing holistic, patient-centred care. This will include a range of core clinical skills such as venepuncture, swabbing and skin assessments, depending on the area of work.

You will be responsible for delivering high standards of safe and effective care, providing these services in accordance with the Trusts values and behaviours.

There are a list of core and additional clinical skills that are required for the role which is included in the attached job description.

Please note that if you are invited to our assessment centre, you will be asked to provide evidence of the essential qualifications prior to your assessment date. We will then screen your qualifications and let you know whether they meet the criteria for this role. The required qualifications are:

* Level 2 in numeracy and literacy (or equivalent)
* Completed Care Certificate evidence of both theory and all practical elements of the skills for health 15 standards
* Level 3 Ofqual-regulated Health related qualification
* Any new employees who can evidence competency of core skills of the CSW Band 3 JD in the form of a competency booklet
* For internal MYTT staff only - evidence of fully signed off Band 2 competency booklet in lieu of the above mentioned Level 3 Ofqual-regulated Health related qualification
