Job Title: Mechanical Fitter Location: Bassingbourn Pay Rate: £16.25 £17.33 per hour (DOE) Contract Role Overview of the Mechanical Fitter We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy and growing team based in Bassingbourn on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities Mechanical assembly and build of products and systems Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions Fitting components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies Supporting basic electrical wiring tasks where needed Conducting build checks to ensure quality and accuracy Maintaining high standards of health and safety Requirements Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Technician Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience in mechanical build/assembly Ideally some basic wiring knowledge (desirable but not essential) Good attention to detail and quality If you would like to know more about this role, please get in touch with Alessandra at Orion Electrotech Due to the volume of applications, if you do not hear back within 5 working days, please assume your application has been unsuccessful.
