Role Summary
The CBI (Customer Back Innovation) Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing the Offsite Cullen Connectors product portfolio, driving growth and outperforming market trends. Responsibilities include supporting and leading strategic initiatives across the Cullen connectors segment, developing market opportunity research strategies, and steering new product development projects from discovery to value proposition creation.
This role involves building strong relationships with customers such as housebuilders, architects, fabricators, and end users, as well as industry associations. Insights from these engagements will shape strategic direction and competitive advantage.
You will support creating and implementing business cases for products, market extensions, or new services based on thorough analysis from research. Success is measured by the ability to focus on high-impact tasks, manage time effectively, and deliver tangible results.
Responsibilities
1. CBI Strategy:
o Support growth initiatives for Cullen Connectors, contributing to annual yield targets.
o Manage research using customer insights to drive product range growth.
o Prioritize growth opportunities aligned with strategic intent, focusing on emerging markets and new technologies.
o Identify new market and business opportunities around product/service offerings.
o Position the business to optimize resources through PLS.
2. CBI Pipeline:
o Develop research plans for opportunity projects in collaboration with product managers.
o Gather market intelligence to qualify opportunities, focusing on market size, share, attractiveness, resources, and competitive landscape.
3. CBI Process:
o Establish partnerships with customers through discovery initiatives, including pain point analysis and system discovery sessions.
o Collect market intelligence from various sources, including design offices and on-site installers.
o Conduct customer surveys and external market research.
o Analyze competitor solutions and assess impact levels to drive change.
o Organize round table discussions with customers and market influencers.
o Define and communicate value propositions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
o Translate market and customer insights into business cases for new opportunities.
o Support product launches in collaboration with marketing and commercial teams.
4. Experience and Skills:
