 
        
        Litigation Lawyer – Permanent, Hybrid
Our client, a Local Authority in London, is seeking experienced Litigation Lawyers to join their dynamic in‑house Legal Team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will undertake a varied caseload of legal work, reporting to and being supervised by a Senior Lawyer. Duties include litigation and prosecution work, advising on civil and criminal matters, judicial review cases, and supporting Members and Officers.
Responsibilities
 * Handle a varied caseload of criminal and civil litigation matters and judicial review cases under the supervision of a Senior Lawyer.
 * Advise, conduct negotiations, draft documents and attend meetings relevant to the role.
 * Provide advice to Members and Officers on licensing, criminal, civil and litigation matters.
 * Occasionally attend Licensing Committees and other relevant meetings.
Qualifications
Must have experience in at least 3 of the following 7 areas:
 * Homelessness
 * Prosecutions
 * Licensing
 * Education
 * Litigation
 * No recourse to public funds
A private practice background wishing to transfer skills into the public sector will also be considered. Understanding of the Local Authority environment is an advantage.

Location
Office in London, Borough Council – hybrid arrangement. The successful lawyer must attend the office at least 2 days per week.
