We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Career Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) Adviser, working with offenders in custody to help them prepare for work on release.
The job involves working with people serving custodial sentences to engage them in learning, training, and employment opportunities, so they’re ready to start a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to people and communities.
You’ll Need To Be
* confident and proactive
* a good communicator with a non-judgemental approach
* comfortable working on databases and have a strong attention to detail
We are especially looking for applicants who have experience helping offenders or other vulnerable groups to move forward in their lives. If you can really connect with people to help them progress, work in a prison environment, embrace the quality and compliance requirements of the contract, and have the skills to work towards individual targets, we’d love to hear from you.
We’ll give you all the training you need to do the job and to get established in the role. Our teams are always supportive and friendly towards new starters to help them settle into the job.
Are you ready to join a high-performing team and make a contribution to changing lives?
The contract requires a 37.5-hour working week, and we also offer flexitime, so when we ask our staff to do extra hours, they can take those hours back another time. It’s a great benefit of working for Career Connect.
CIAG advisers are paid on a scale between £26,485 and £30,012. You will be reimbursed for any additional travel beyond your main base of work. Our holidays start at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with up to an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service.
