Reed in Partnership is a British, family‑owned company that has been delivering public services since 1998. We provide training and resettlement support for service leavers. This role is for a Self‑Employed Associate Electrical Trainer, responsible for delivering and assessing electrical qualifications to former members of the UK Armed Forces.
Role Overview
As an Associate Assessor/Trainer you will plan and deliver electrical qualifications for Service leavers, working with the Engineering Department and Head of Engineering. The role is self‑employed with a flexible schedule: typically a few days of assessment work per week, with occasional full‑time hours for one‑ or two‑week training blocks.
Responsibilities
* Deliver electrical training to learners in an engaging and empowering manner, meeting their needs and learning styles, and in accordance with awarding body standards.
* Support the Head of Engineering with annual course planning and programme changes.
* Assist with exam/assessment administration, including invigilation.
* Maintain a professional training environment, ensuring facilities and workshops are kept to required standards.
Qualifications
* At least two years experience delivering/assessing electrical engineering training.
* Relevant qualification in teaching or training (ideal).
* Hold or be willing to work towards an Assessor qualification.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High competency in Microsoft Applications.
* Highly efficient, professional, and adaptable to ensure consistent delivery across trainers.
