Who They are Founded over 50 years ago as a rural agricultural practice, now a proudly independent and mixed veterinary practice, spread over two sites in Devon. This role is based at a modern, purpose-built companion animal centre. It’s home to a warm, experienced team and features separate cat and dog waiting areas and kennels, fully equipped operating and diagnostic facilities (x-ray, in-house lab, ultrasound). They believe in working with people, not on autopilot – so their clients stay with them for years. They’ve grown organically and are trusted by generations of local pet owners. The job in a nutshell As an RVN here, you’ll enjoy a mix of: Consults Ops (routine and some orthopaedics) Inpatient care Nurse clinics Working alongside a kind, experienced team of vets, RVNs and ANAs You’ll usually be working alongside at least one vet, one RVN, and one ANA. There may be minimal Sole Charge RVN requirements (for example Saturdays or in the case of sickness). The hours Full time preferred: 5 days per week Would consider 4 days 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am – 6pm) – Sole Charge RVN No OOH, no on-call, no bank holidays Salary & benefits £28,000–£32,000 depending on experience CPD funded (approx. £500/year – flexible if there’s something you’re keen to do) 4 weeks holiday bank holidays Staff discount scheme Workplace pension VDS one professional membership (e.g. BVNA) paid About you – They’re looking for someone who’s: A qualified RVN (newly qualified considered if confident) A compassionate, collaborative team player Comfortable using initiative and being adaptable Genuinely interested in offering a high standard of care A confident communicator with clients and colleagues A driver with access to their own transport (the practice is rural!)
