Job Title:
Governance and Compliance Manager

Location:
Poringland, Norfolk (with travel as required)

Salary:
£50,000 - £55,000, depending on experience

Contract Type:
Permanent

Working Pattern:
Full Time (37.5 hours) Monday to Friday between 08:00 – 18:00

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the role, including evenings and weekends as required.

About You:

As our Governance and Compliance Manager you will lead the development, implementation and oversight of our governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. Working closely with operational and senior leaders, you will ensure we are prepared for inspections (for example, Ofsted, CQC, HSE and others) and ensuring that accountability is held across all functions and levels. You will also lead as our Data Protection Officer.

As a strategic enabler, you will champion integrity, safeguarding and continuous improvement, all whilst embedding a culture of strong governance and practice risk management.

Requirements
:

To apply for our Governance and Compliance Manager, you will need:

· To be degree educated, ideally in a relevant field

· Have a minimum of five years in social care, safeguarding, or compliance roles

· An in-depth knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and whistleblowing procedures

· Experience in managing governance, compliance or assurance frameworks, and to have experience with risk registers, audit programmes and regulatory inspections.
