Job Overview
To lead, manage, and develop your team to work safely, effectively, and efficiently in order to service our customers with the best possible product. To follow and develop processes to ensure our customers receive the correct product on time and in full. To drive a culture of continuous improvement; empowering your team to improve performance, increase and maintain quality, reduce waste, and meet your department's KPIs.
Effective communication with your team and stakeholders, including Hygiene, Technical, Engineering, Stores, Production, Finishing, and Drivers, is essential.
Main Responsibilities
Technical
1. Check all inbound stock to ensure it meets the correct specifications, such as dates and labeling.
2. Rotate stock to ensure availability for the outbound team.
3. Label stocks with accurate information.
4. Visually inspect products to ensure they are produced to specifications when receipting stock.
5. Ensure GMP standards are met and the warehouse is always audit-ready.
6. Participate actively in audits and high-profile visits.
7. Communicate effectively with your shift manager, production, and finishing teams.
8. Implement fit-for-purpose processes, reviewing and updating them regularly.
9. Keep training matrix up-to-date and audit-ready.
10. Liaise with agency suppliers and provide feedback on performance.
11. Lead and develop your team of Inbound Warehouse Operatives.
12. Ensure all communication is accurate and timely.
13. Handle HR/People tasks such as completing return-to-work and 121 meetings.
14. Complete all paperwork on time and in full.
15. Record all relevant information throughout the working day.
16. Use software to transfer stock between sites.
17. Ensure products are unloaded promptly and checked for correct dating and labeling.
18. Manage the dispatch warehouse, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
19. Generate labels with correct information to ensure accurate stock rotation.
