Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and competent Dental Nurse to join our Special Care Dental Service. We are based across 5 sites in Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich. The successful candidate would ideally be based at 1 or 2 sites on a regular basis but may on occasions be asked to cover for colleagues at different sites. You would be expected to make your own travel arrangements to meet the needs of the job. A valid driving licence and access to a car is essential for this position.
We carry out domiciliary visits to meet the needs of patients in their own settings—homes, care/residential homes and sometimes hospitals. We also provide treatment under conscious sedation. Any previous experience of conscious sedation will be desirable.

Responsibilities
* Participate in General Anaesthetic sessions when required (based at PRUH in Orpington).
* Provide high quality dental care for special needs patients and children referred to our service.
* Support the Special Care Dental Service across 5 sites and cover colleagues at different sites as needed.
* Undertake domiciliary visits to patients in homes, care/residential homes and hospitals as required.
* Assist with treatment under conscious sedation (experience desirable).
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualification in Dental Nursing and registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, good organisational skills, IT skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Previous experience in CDS is desirable, but candidates with the right aptitude and skills will be trained.
* A valid driving licence and access to a car are essential.
