Job Title: Deputy Manager Location: Stone Salary: Up to £39,000 Employment Type: Permanent Sleep-ins: Generous remuneration for sleep-in shifts Service: Children’s Residential Home Service Users: Children and Young People who have experienced early life trauma, neglect or abuse and may display challenging behaviours Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent; willingness to complete Level 5 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care Experience Required: Experience within a Residential Children’s Home setting with leadership or senior responsibilities The Home: Our client operates a children’s residential home supporting young people who have experienced trauma, neglect and abuse. Who we are looking for: An experienced and motivated Deputy Manager who can lead a team, support the Registered Manager and ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Key responsibilities include: • Leading the team to deliver high-quality care • Ensuring risks are managed in line with company policies and procedures • Communicating effectively with the team regarding daily plans • Reviewing care plans and associated documentation • Attending and chairing staff meetings • Supporting and improving the service model • Acting as an advocate for young people using a positive parenting model • Using positive support strategies including de-escalation techniques and in-house PRICE training • Supporting the Manager with day-to-day tasks • Running the home in the absence of the Manager • Completing on-call duties when required • Providing supervision and positive role modelling to staff • Attending meetings on behalf of the Manager when required You must hold a full manual UK driving licence and be fully flexible to work unsociable shift patterns.
