We have an a opportunity for Band 5 registered nurses to join our busy Emergency Department at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan.
The Emergency Department has recently been rated "Good" on the CQC new framework
The posts are advertised as an internal rotation over seven days, offering applicants the chance to develop their skills, talents, and competencies across key acute emergency areas.
We would be delighted to receive interest from experienced nurses, and from final year nursing students approaching qualification.
As a new started you are supported by our ED Clinical Educator who will assist your Induction, training and development.

Main duties of the job

Working with us would give you the opportunity to develop skills in resus, majors, triage, Initial Senior and Treatment and rotation into the Urgent Treatment Centre to work alongside our Emergency Nurse Practitioners. We are excited to be able to offer newly appointed staff an Emergency Care Preceptorship under the guidance of our Clinical Educator.
We work closely with the ambulance service and specialist teams both within the hospital and in the community to ensure that we provide the right care, at the right time.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. To provide the highest standards of care to our patients.

5. Participate in all aspects of multidisciplinary audit.
6. Participate in the development and application of evidence based practice within care delivery.
7. To complete patient documentation and undertake record keeping in a timely manner, ensuring that all entries are accurate and legible and that information systems are maintained.
8. To provide information as required, including notification of adverse events and accidents to patients, staff and visitors.
