With offices across the South West, we offer a supportive, people-first culture where flexibility, development, and collaboration are part of everyday life. We’re now looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll deliver high-quality bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounting services for a diverse portfolio of clients. You’ll be client-facing, and confident supporting others in the team.
* Manage your own portfolio of bookkeeping and VAT clients, aligned to your level.
* Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
* Input and reconcile data, process payments, and ensure clear, organised working papers.
* Liaise directly with clients to meet deadlines and manage expectations.
* Visit client sites as needed to support service delivery and client relationships.
* Act as a mentor or buddy to junior colleagues, supporting with feedback and development.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You’ll be an experienced and proactive bookkeeper with strong communication skills and a commercial mindset. You enjoy supporting others and delivering a great client experience.
* AAT Level 3 qualified or qualified by experience (Level 4 desirable).
* 2+ years’ experience in bookkeeping and VAT (ideally within practice).
* Confident preparing management accounts with clear supporting schedules.
* Skilled in Xero, QuickBooks Online, Excel, and other accounting systems.
* Strong time management and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and flexibly across sites.
* Experience in property finance or sector-specific bookkeeping (desirable but not essential).
