Health and Safety Administrator | Spire Hartswood Hospital - Brentwood | Permanent | Part time | 22.5 hours per week
Spire Hartswood Hospital is looking to recruit a HS Administrator to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Engineering department, on a permanent basis. In this role you will support the Health and safety officer and ensure compliance with key safety protocols across the facility.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Manage and Maintain the health and safety management system and associated records.
* Collate, review, and report on health and safety incidents, including trends and near misses
* Respond to and redirect health and safety queries professionally and efficiently
* Update and distribute local health and safety policies and arrangements
* Maintain the Hospital-Wide Action Plan and follow up on outstanding actions
* Coordinate and administer Health & Safety Training and monitor e-learning compliance
* Take minutes for Health & Safety meetings, including Water, Fire, and Waste Management
* Assist in conducting quarterly health and safety inspections across the hospital
* Ensure adequate induction and safety training for all new and existing staff
* Support audits and address health and safety inquiries from external enforcement agencies.
Who we're looking for:
* Understanding of Health & Safety and risk issues and legislation
* IOSH working safely/ managing safely course
* Previous experience of a similar role in an admin role in a customer focused organisation.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
* A proactive and organised approach to managing tasks
