If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation as a Project Manager.About the RoleWorking for a company specialising in innovative control and automation systems for critical infrastructure, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining and developing strong client relationships. In addition to managing scope, budget, and timelines, this role has a strong focus on team leadership, client engagement, and identifying new business opportunities to support continued growth.This role is ideal for a Project Manager with a technical engineering background and a good understanding of PLC/SCADA control systems, who is confident managing project economics, risk, and compliance, while acting as a key interface between clients, project teams, and senior management.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with senior management and clients to define project scope, objectives, budgets, and timelines.Lead projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.Develop, maintain, and adapt detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, expense tracking, financial reporting, and cost control.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as required.Provide regular project status, financial, and performance updates to internal and external stakeholders.Assign and manage project resources effectively, ensuring workloads are balanced and aligned with skills and experience.Lead, coach, and develop project teams through clear direction, mentoring, performance feedback, and training support.Proactively engage with clients to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for repeat or new business.Support business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and client retention.Ensure all project activities comply with relevant quality, health & safety, environmental, and information security standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001.What We're Looking ForStrong understanding of project management methodologies, including agile and traditional approaches.Proven experience managing project budgets, financial reporting, and project economics.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop project teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging clients and senior leadership.High emotional intelligence, with strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying business growth opportunities.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to adapt to changing business and client requirements while maintaining delivery focus.Perks of the JobFlexible working hours and holidaysYour birthday off with paySick pay and pension contributionProfit share bonus£500 per year for activities with friends and familyEmployee wellbeing programme with 24/7 helplineFree use of the onsite gymYou will be based at our client's HQ, with regular visits to client sites across the UK.
