Accounts Payable Assistant

An established organisation is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Payable Assistant to join its finance team.
This is a high-volume, hands-on role requiring strong accuracy and efficiency. You will take ownership of the Accounts Payable function for a smaller entity within the group, managing invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment preparation. The role reports to the Senior Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing high volumes of invoices daily
* Matching invoices to supporting documentation
* Inputting invoices accurately into the accounting system
* Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
* Managing invoice queries and resolving discrepancies
* Preparing payment schedules for approval
* Handling supplier queries by phone and email
* Supporting month-end processes
What We’re Looking For
* Previous Accounts Payable experience
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Strong attention to detail and minimal input errors
* Able to work independently and manage priorities
* Professional telephone manner
* Reliable and deadline-driven
