Rent & Service Charge Manager (9-12 months contract, Full-time or Part-time - 4 days/30 hours)

Position Overview
As the key representative and ambassador for rent and service charges, you will manage key processes and stakeholder relationships within the Finance directorate, which comprises around 60 team members. You will oversee a small team and contribute to the strategic direction of the function.
You will provide expert advisory services to service owners and budget holders, ensuring value for money for customers while maximizing rent and service charge recovery for the Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage rent and service charge processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and delivering excellent customer service.
* Monitor and review service charge recovery, applying strong accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
* Lead planning and organization of rent and service charge calendars, meeting challenging deadlines.
* Develop and implement improvements to systems and processes, enhancing service delivery.
* Work closely with project teams on rent and service charge transformation projects.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in rent and service charge management, with strong knowledge of leasehold and housing legislation.
* Solid understanding of accounting procedures and financial data analysis.
* Experience working within a finance team with excellent analytical skills.
* Attention to detail and compliance monitoring skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to handle challenging situations confidently and professionally.
