Customer Support Engineer
Location: Great Yarmouth
Salary: Up to 55k DOE & Company Bonus
Our client are a leading provider of high quality innovative sonar technology solutions for survey applications spanning inland waterways, inshore, nearshore and offshore environments to full ocean depth. They specialise in the design, development, manufacture, and commissioning of advanced side scan, bathymetry, and sub‑bottom profiling sonar‑systems. They are looking for a Customer Support Engineer, a self‑starter who can learn and understand our products inside‑out; understand the sonar equipment marketplace and our competitors; provide customer support and installations; spot opportunities when talking to customers for up‑selling; arrange testing and inspections of returned equipment.

Key Accountabilities
* Provide outstanding technical support to customers by telephone, email and occasional customer visits.
* Assist in solving customer's technical issues together with support from the Engineering Team.
* Provide on‑site demonstrations of our sonar products to support sales.
* Carry out installation, commissioning and upgrades of products.
* Report on opportunities for product improvements.
* Ensure communications from customers receive a response within acceptable time frame.
* Promote improvements, upgrades and after‑sales opportunities to customers.
* Although office based the role may require occasional travel to support our global customer base.
Qualifications and Experience
* Technical education in a relevant discipline to sonar products.
* Demonstrable hands‑on experience of sonar survey equipment in the field or base.
You are able to:
* Use a methodical and systematic approach, plan ahead, define clear priorities and allocate resources effectively and analyse complex issues and problems and come up with rational judgments, demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in own area and communicate in a clear, precise and structured way.
* Co‑operate well with others, share knowledge, experience, information and support others in the pursuit of team goals.
