Location: Office-based (Monday - Friday), in Milton Keynes Contract: Full-time, Permanent Number of vacancies: 1 Role Overview As the AI Innovation and Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s vision for artificial intelligence. This is a strategic, hands-on role that blends deep business understanding with strong AI insight to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation across the company. Operating within a fast-paced eCommerce environment, you will work closely with teams across marketing, operations, logistics, finance, HR and customer experience to identify opportunities for AI-driven optimisation and smarter decision-making. You will translate business challenges into practical AI applications, collaborating with external technology partners to deliver scalable, results-oriented solutions, without reliance on an internal IT team. Key Duties: AI Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a clear, business-aligned AI strategy that accelerates performance and supports long-term growth. Business Insight & Integration: Build a deep understanding of eCommerce operations, customer journeys, and commercial drivers to identify where AI can add value. Operational Optimisation : Analyse workflows and data to uncover inefficiencies and design AI-enabled solutions for automation, personalisation, and forecasting. Solution Leadership: Oversee pilot projects and full-scale deployments, ensuring each initiative is outcome-focused and aligned with business objectives. External Partner Management: Source, evaluate, and manage AI vendors, platforms, and consultants to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. Change & Adoption: Lead the internal adoption of AI by educating teams, promoting a culture of experimentation, and ensuring practical understanding of tools and capabilities. Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness and ROI of AI initiatives, reporting regularly on business impact. Ethical & Responsible AI: Uphold standards of transparency, fairness, and data privacy in all AI implementations. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Digital Strategy, Data Science, or a related field. 3 years of experience in digital transformation, business innovation, or AI strategy roles. Strong understanding of eCommerce business models, operations, and customer experience dynamics. Proven ability to deliver AI or technology-driven change in fast-moving, high-growth environments. Demonstrated success in leading projects and managing external vendors without a dedicated IT team. Excellent strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and communication skills.
