Job Description:
The Business:
Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed energy services platform, supporting thousands of commercial customers with access to cleaner, cheaper energy solutions. The business is entering a period of accelerated growth through acquisitions in the UK and internationally.
The Opportunity:
Following key integration milestones, the business is now executing its buy-and-build strategy. An acquisition is in due diligence, with further opportunities in the pipeline. Two international deals are being led by the investor and require senior-level execution support.
We are hiring an Interim Head of M&A to lead transaction execution, develop deal processes, and act as a strategic partner to the CEO and investors.
This role suits a commercially-minded M&A professional with private equity experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Transaction Management: Lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, from origination to integration.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with CEO, leadership, investors, advisors, and stakeholders.
* Due Diligence Oversight: Coordinate financial, legal, commercial, and operational due diligence.
* Integration Planning: Ensure post-deal integration is considered during execution.
* Market Intelligence: Support strategic pipeline development with insights into market landscape.
* Documentation & Process: Prepare investment papers and refine M&A processes.
Candidate Profile:
* Experience in M&A within private equity-backed companies, investment banks, or corporate development.
* Understanding of the transaction lifecycle and managing multiple deals.
* Strong commercial acumen and communication skills.
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
* International M&A exposure and energy/services sector experience are a plus but not essential.
