.The Service holder perimeter includes all the activities related to the development of LNG Project, Onshore/ Offshore Pipelines System, interfacing with the other systems of LNG future upstream facilities, i.e. well pads, CPF, Early Works, offshore export pipeline and LNG Plant, including the stakeholders. The Service holder will work under the management of the Pipelines Package Manager, with the missions as defined below:
· To ensure the engineering activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, COMPANY General Specifications(Referential) and International Standards and Codes (Australian Standards and DNV).
· To ensure that the pipelines system is properly designed, integrating various aspects which include specific engineering features like geohazards, seismic & strain-based design, pipelines metallurgy, HSE and constructability.
· To lead the Engineering team (Onshore / Offshore) and the Document Controller, in close coordination with the Project Engineering Manager.
· To ensure interfacing with all required other engineering disciplines maintaining consistency with the overall upstream engineering work.
· To conduct the studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to Project Management. The Service holder provides a strong HSE leadership, defines and ensures the effective implementation of the Project HSE policy and commitment, by providing all necessary resources, he adopts and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour regarding the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy, promote and enforce the Corporate Anti-Corruption Program within the project team.
· Challenges the Engineering contractor / promote alternatives design to optimize the environmental impact, cost, work, and schedule.
· Review and comment engineering documents. Consolidates comments related to pipelines deliverables, liaise with the discipline specialist(s)(for ex. Pipelines, Corrosion, Geotechnical), and entity (Operations, HSE…) as required.
· Ensures that safety studies, technological risk assessment, HAZID, HAZOP and any other risk mitigation work are considered in close coordination with Project safety engineering team.
· Ensures that all Environmental studies are duly considered in close coordination with Project H3SE team.
· Challenges General Specifications when appropriate, liaises with HQ experts, issues and follow-up of Derogations requests.
· Supports the preparation and participate to Project Reviews, provides answers, and ensure timely implementation of the findings.
· Supports the Call for Tender Phase, contract Exhibits, answers to Technical Clarification Request from Tenderers,
· Participates to the technical clarification meetings with the Tenders, bid evaluation and Recommendation to Award (Technical).
· Provides technical support to the LLI’s Procurement in coordination with the Procurement and Fabrication Lead
· Provides technical support to the Construction supervision team including preparation of the pre-commissioning activities.
· Provides technical support to the Field Operation team for the preparation of the commissioning and start-up activities.
· Participates to the interfaces management in coordination with the Project Interface Management team.
· Provides adequate and timely reporting of the Engineering activity (highlights, budget, progress, concerns)
Qualifications and Experience required:
· Professional Experience (years): 10+ years in Oil and Gas projects
· Experience in similar position (years): 10+ years at same or equivalent position with managerial responsibilities
· Main technical skills: - Engineering management (mastery) - Pipeline design (practical/ mastery) - Pipeline construction (practical) - Team management skills
· Previous experience in design for geohazards, strain-based design, hydrotechnical hazards, swamps, dense phase pipeline and shore approach are considered as added value for the position.
· Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent
· Languages: English mandatory, French will be a plus
