Overview
The Waterside Primary Care Network (PCN) is expanding its clinical team. We are seeking a positive, caring and self-motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in our Urgent Care Centre (UCC).
Waterside PCN provides proactive and coordinated care to 43,000 patients with a focus on health promotion and personalised care. We are a dynamic, friendly and supportive PCN with experience in training healthcare professionals and offering new models of care using a diverse skill mix.
Main duties of the job
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), you will provide advanced level clinical assessment and care, act as a leading example of clinical excellence, and support colleagues in the department. You will work in the Urgent Care Centre environment, with access to a range of diagnostics to aid clinical examination. The role is suitable for candidates with previous experience in Emergency Department, Walk-in Centres, GP Practices or out-of-hours settings.

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Nurse
* Post graduate diploma or degree (Advanced Practice Qualification)
* Qualified Nurse Prescriber
* Qualified Triage Nurse
Desirable
* Minor Illness Qualification
* Teaching Qualification
* ALS, PALS
Experience and personal qualities
Essential experience includes: experience of patients presenting with urgent and unscheduled care conditions, clinical knowledge and skills (including wound care, sutures, ECGs, venepuncture, new patient medicals, chaperone procedures, pathology requests and result processing), diabetes, hypertension, asthma, CHD, evidence-based practice, clinical governance, accurate note taking, appropriate scope of practice and referral when needed, public health knowledge, health promotion awareness, and PGD policy understanding. Personal qualities required include politeness, confidence, flexibility, motivation, problem solving, integrity, empathy, ability to work under pressure, effective communication, commitment to professional development, and teamwork.
