We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Dispute Resolution team in Bath to provide an important link between the client and the firm, having responsibility for aspects of file management, under supervision.
Duties will include:
Personalised Client Service
1. Undertake fee earning tasks to assist with running of a caseload or run a low value/pre funded caseload under the supervision and management of qualified lawyers and carry out simple, routine tasks
2. Draft legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates which address all relevant legal and factual issues and accurately reflect the client’s instructions
3. Undertake effective legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results accurately and clearly
4. Highlight and escalate any issues to qualified lawyers
5. Providing excellent client service at all times and adhere to the firms Client Experience (CX) principles
6. Learn firm policies and business processes, ensuring compliance particularly with regards to confidentiality, security data protection and file retention and destruction requirements
7. Ensure adherence to all affiliations and standards connected to the department (Legal Aid, Land Registry etc.)
8. Check to ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in particular concerning file opening processes and anti-money laundering. Audit files with the department to ensure files comply with risk management policies and procedures

10. Support fee earners to prepare for BD & marketing activities
11. Attend RWKG BD events where appropriate
12. Take an active part in promoting the firm through Social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
13. Update the CRM system to input data and manage the client information through the system including adding contact details, referrals and new clients. Act as a super user for the system
14. Begin to build business relationships with 3rd parties under supervision (e.g agents, referrers, experts), responding to enquiries and building a good rapport

Skills, Attributes and Experience:
22. Legal qualifications (LLB or CILEx) is desirable
23. Previous experience within a legal support or administrative role
24. Excellent organisation capability with the ability to effectively prioritise
25. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant IT platforms
26. Strong written communication skills
27. Demonstrate a good understanding of client relationship management
28. Ability to undertake basic legal work under supervision and use initiative where required
