Position Overview: We are currently looking for a skilled Property Maintenance / Handyman to join our team on ad-hoc, part time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and minor repair works in a block of 29 apartments in Newcastle under Lyme ST5. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in small electrical and plumbing repairs, joinery works ie flooring installation, door adjustments and general property upkeep mainly making good surfaces and painting. This role requires someone who is proactive, dependable, and able to work independently across multiple sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including minor electrical and plumbing work and joinery tasks
* Carry out painting and patching works when required to maintain the quality and appearance of properties.
* Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues as they arise, ensuring timely resolution to minimise disruption.
* Conduct and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure the ongoing safety and functionality of the properties.
* Maintain an organised record of repairs completed, materials used, and follow-up actions needed.
* Liaise with project and site managers to prioritise and schedule tasks efficiently.
* Work safely at all times and in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in property maintenance and general building works
* Strong practical problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks across multiple locations.
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
* Own tools and PPE are required.
* Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
* Familiarity with health and safety standards and ability to adhere to site protocols.
Payment Options:
* Quoted price work AVAILABLE
* Alternatively, an hourly rate of £ £22.00 per hour, depending on experience and expertise.
