We are currently recruiting dedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistants to support both children and adults with complex needs.
Available Role: Health Care Assistant, Burton-On-Trent DE15
Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00 - 16:00
Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
About The Role
Key Responsibilities (All Roles)
* Provide compassionate, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans
* Support with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily living tasks
* Promote dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date care records
* Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and their families
* Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policies
Role-Specific Responsibilities
* Support a wheelchair user who is hoist‑dependent
* Deliver personal care and assistance with daily routines
* Encourage independence and engagement in creative interests (e.g., music, drama, art, technology)
* Assist with and promote the use of communication aids
* Communicate effectively with family members and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
* At least 6 months of care experience in the UK
* Experience working with children or individuals with complex needs (desirable, not essential)
* A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach
* Strong verbal and written English skills
* Ability to work both independently and within a team
* Basic IT skills for completing documentation
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)

Required Criteria
* Minimum 6 months UK care experience
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable
* Strong spoken and written English
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic IT skills for documentation
* Enhanced DBS required
Desired Criteria
* Experience with children or complex needs preferred but not essential
* Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle preferred
