About the Role This role is part of the GOGBL Leadership Team. The role will report into the Deputy Manager and help support the MD in the day to day running of the operation. The role is critical to the delivering the perfect serve pint of Guinness every time, in all areas of the business, as well as supporting the quality serve of Guinness Craft beers produced by the brewery team. This role is critical to the smooth running of day-to-day bar operations, as well as quality control, stock control, ordering, delivery management and cellar management. The role will also ensure that we are compliant with all aspects of health and safety and food hygiene with regards to cellar safety, PPE and weekly line cleaning. The type of person we are looking for will be experienced in stock and cellar management and passionate about establishing the fundamentals which will allow GOGBL to deliver the perfect pint of Guinness every serve. Key elements of the site include: Iconic Guinness Gates as main entrance to the experience, offering huge cultural impact in the heart of London. Restaurants/Taproom/bars - world class food and beer produced and served on site. Central all weather historic courtyard with world class bar experience. Retail spaces, one of which will stock items produced through exciting short-term brand collaborations. Bespoke 5th floor glass box rooftop eating and drinking experience creating brand new rooftop view of London. Brewery and beer experience/tasting tours. Cultural events space designed and fitted out with technology to enable world class meeting and conference experiences You will be responsible for: Line cleaning - Carrying out weekly line cleaning of all beer lines, and general cellar cleanliness Work to the Highest Standards - Install & Maintain dispense equipment across the whole OGB site delivering consumers beer to defined specification Work to defined technical specification - Have the skills and ability to deliver installations to defined pour rates, gas types and deliver flexible dispense solutions. This is a role that relies heavily on Hands On dispense capability experience to deliver GREAT LOOKING, GREAT TASTING Beer. Positively Influence within the team Be an active key member of the OGB team supporting and flexing style based on workload requirements Managing your Workload - Self schedule calls both Proactive Service and Breakdown work across site Delivery of Role Objectives - Work to set targets across site including Technical Dispense upgrade work. Administration - Complete all administration tasks as directed weekly / monthly. HS - deliver against and champion site Health and Safety ways of Working delivering a Safety first approach to all site interactions Quality control - daily checks using the Guinness 7 C's Glassware glasswasher checks and maintenance and glassware renovation routines Training support - Supporting the SLT and FOH team with training Ordering - Management of weekly Diageo stock orders, and stock rotation Delivery management - organising courtyard delivery operations, and management of delivery log Stock control - Weekly stock reporting, and controls Hydrometer testing - to be carried out monthly and recorded Product - Assisting brewing team on new product installation and beer rotation Key Stakeholders The role reports into the Deputy Manager, GOGBL, and is part of the GOGBL Leadership Team. The role holder will need to build a relationship and work closely with relevant colleagues responsible for the quality strategy in Guinness and the wider Diageo GB team. About You: Experience of managing stock in large scale multi facet hospitality venues Experience in line cleaning and cellar management in large scale venue Experience of venues offering different experiences; bar, restaurant, events, experiential Experience managing large scale ordering and deliveries for high volume venues Experience of working in the West End with considerations around residence and local restrictions with regards to deliveries and noise etc Experience in training staff in cellar and stock duties Please note that we are a 7 day business operation, so the ideal candidate would be working 5 days across the Monday-Sunday pattern.
