Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to perform a range of cleaning tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
* Ensure that all areas are kept clean and tidy, including guest rooms, communal areas, and restrooms.
* Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens.
* Assist with cooking and meal preparation as required, ensuring food safety standards are met.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
* Follow established health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
* Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
* Experience in a hotel environment is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
* Basic cooking skills to assist with meal preparation when necessary.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
