Overview
We are looking for talented Senior Social Workers to join a Children with Disabilities team within the Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. This will be a fantastic opportunity to enrich work experience and career within the Children with Disabilities team. The CWD team is supportive and committed, striving for positive outcomes for vulnerable children in the county.
Responsibilities
The role is responsible for providing practical and social work support for disabled children and their families. This involves holding a complex caseload, visiting children and families, carrying out interventions, reviewing work undertaken, direct work with children and families, and any other work identified as necessary. All work must be based on best evidence and good practice, privileging the best interests of children and young people.
Qualifications
• Qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England. • Commitment and passion for delivering best practice and support to disabled children and families. • Ability to manage a complex and diverse caseload to the required standards. • Confidence in analysis and decision making to deliver purposeful and effective social care. • Skilled in supervision, performance management and improvement techniques to ensure high quality of practice. • The position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will require an enhanced DBS certificate as well as a Barred List check.
