Escape Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a background in Manufacturing/Engineering to join our client's team in Dunfermline. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle and success (profit/loss) of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and efficient execution.
As a key member of the UK management team, you will lead a team and contribute to achieving key business goals. Your responsibilities include supporting tender processes, managing project delivery, and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
The Role
1. Integrate project strategies into tendering and contract negotiations for successful execution.
2. Identify and manage risks during bid, negotiation, and delivery phases.
3. Oversee project delivery to internal and external customers, ensuring efficiency across the portfolio.
4. Establish and manage project teams, collaborating with Sales, Products, Operations, Strategic Supply Chain, and Global Customer Support.
5. Utilize resources effectively and develop the Project Management team.
6. Ensure smooth transitions between Sales, Delivery, and Global Customer Support.
7. Support the development and adherence to project delivery processes and procedures.
8. Drive project execution in line with HSE and Quality standards, ensuring on-time delivery and budget compliance.
9. Manage and mitigate risks to support business strategy.
10. Participate in tender meetings and pre-bid reviews to secure optimal outcomes.
11. Contribute to project categorization based on risk profiles.
12. Approve project budgets, goals, and strategies.
13. Establish and sign Project Charters, empowering Project Managers to meet or exceed targets and adhere to standards.
14. Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to foster trust.
15. Collaborate with Sales and Global Customer Support for early involvement and smooth handovers.
16. Lead improvement projects, reporting, and analysis to enhance performance.
17. Contribute to strategic targets for the division and company.
The Candidate
* Extensive experience in Project and Programme management.
* Degree-level education or equivalent.
* Proven experience in budget management and human resource balancing.
* Success in leading projects to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
* Strong track record in contract negotiations and settlement agreements.
